Bad habit

We often hear people say that going to church regularly cannot take one to heaven. This statement, as harmless as it appears, has led many people astray. Not going to church regularly is a bad habit, which not only harms your spiritual and mental life, but also that of people around you.

Attending church services has many great benefits. It is in church that we hear the word of God, which transforms our lives. In the church, we share fellowship with one another and with God (1 John 1:3). In church services, burdens are lifted (Galatians 6:7). God meets people and takes care of their needs in church services. Jesus had it as a custom (habit) to be in the synagogue regularly (Luke 4:16). He taught people and met their needs there (Mark 1:26, Luke 13:10–17). When attending church services becomes a mere formality, encountering God becomes elusive. We must learn to follow in the footsteps of Jesus by forming the habit of being in Church services regularly. When we do so, we build up our spiritual life and bring glory to God.
