Hope For The Weak And Wandering Lamb

Hope For The Weak And Wandering Lamb

Text: Matthew 9:36-38

AIMS

  1. To make us understand that there are weak and wandering lamb.
  2. To examine how and ways to bring hope for the weak and wandering lamb
  3. To remind us that God is not comfortable seeing the weak and wandering lamb.

INTRODUCTION

Jesus in Matthew chapter 9, from verses 36 to 38, cried out when he saw the condition of the people, because they fainted and were scattered abroad as sheep without a shepherd and he asked the disciples to pray to the Lord of the harvest to send labourers into his field because the harvest is plenty but the labourers are few. Before eternity began, God has shown that He has no joy in the death of a sinner, the parable of the prodigal son and that of the lost sheep are testaments to that and so we must rise to responsibility of seeking the lost. Beloved, we are in the last days, so many fake pastors are out there spoiling the work of God and thereby getting so many people confused, some are tired of the church and whatever it represents. Some people have been swindled of their hard earned resources with the Bible in the name of ministry, family prayer, personal deliverance, etc. All these things and many more have brought about serious decay in the body of Christ and contributing to the numbers of weak and wandering lambs, but we trust God to send us help from zion.

CONCLUSION

There is indeed a serious satanic orchestration against the church today and the flock are the target but we must rise to our responsibility of feeding the flock. If we don’t feed them, the world is ever ready to feed them with junks. There is high rate of native doctors and water marmaids (ezenwanyi) practices today, all these things pose a great danger to the lambs. We must work now that is day, for the night cometh, when no man shall work.
