In His charge to the Workers wives, Bishop Owen shared the “11 Habits of an Effective kingdom (Woman) Leader.” He emphasized that the wife of a minister must understand that progress requires embracing these habits:
- Taking responsibility i.e owning up the ministerial duty.
- Setting high standards in ministerial duties and being passionate to achieve the standards.
- Continuous quest for all round self-improvement which includes mental, spiritual, academic, and communication skills.
- Ability to Listen to people both superiors and subordinates.
- Building a support network of people with integrity and prioritizing relationships.
- Ability to be quiet in certain situations even under pressure while seeking God’s guidance before speaking.
- Filtering tasks and prioritizing what needs to be done.
- Sound relationships with colleagues and co-workers.
- Delegating Responsibility and seeking feedback from those delegated.
- Make decisions based on facts not emotions and avoid ambiguity.
- Emulating mentors and those who are better and ahead in ministry.
