The two major factors that determine the intensity of your life battle are, your foundation and your destination. From today’s passage, King David continue to trace the tribes, families and genealogies of the Israelites, and to group them, according to the peculiarities of each family. The truth is that you do not know who you are if you do not know your background, and this causes many to suffer unduly today. Hosea 4:6 alludes to that, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. Understanding your background enables you to know why certain things happen around you the way they do, and how to handle them. However, the basic answer to the question of faulty foundations is provided in Proverbs 18:10 “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe”. The solution is to run into the Strong Tower, and the only way to do that is to receive Jesus Christ into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour. For “if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36). It is until you are spiritually free that the spirit of God can guide you into physical freedom (Judges 6, Daniel 9). “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God” (Romans 8:14).
