Faithful Steward

In this passage, we see the account of the leaders and officials responsible for the king’s property and the resources of the kingdom, along with the leaders over King David’s possessions. It is a reminder that God values order and stewardship. The success of David’s leadership can also be attributed to the advisers and counselors he had. Who do you take his or her advice? Note that your life’s decision hinges on the personalities of people that offer advice to you. In our own lives, we may have seasons of responsibility and leadership. There are times when we need to organize and manage the resources, talents, and opportunities that God has entrusted to us. Just as these leaders were diligent in their roles, we are called to be faithful stewards of what God has given us. As you go about your day, remember that being a faithful steward of your responsibilities is a way to honor God and make the most of the opportunities He has placed before you. Remember the words of Jesus in Luke 16:12, And if you have not been faithful with what belongs to another, who will give you what is your own?
