Episcopal Blessings in Togo: Turning of the Sod at Bethany Anglican Church, Blitta

In continuation of His Episcopal pastoral visit to the mission fields of Togo, the Bishop on the Niger and wife this morning visited Blitta prefecture of the Central Region of Togo to perform the turning of the Sod on the newly purchased site for Bethany Anglican Church
Blitta.

The Bishop expressed his joy on the strategic position of the site and prayed the Lord to possess the site and make it a place of His power and wonders. The Bishop then turned the Sod to mark it’s sanctification, dedication and readiness for Holy use to erect structures.

The resident Priest Rev. Koami Douamenyo, a Togolese through the interpretation of the Mission coordinator Rev. Can Umeagugoesi expressed their joy at the Bishop’s visit.

The Bishop then left Blitta for Sotobua to visit Bethel Anglican Church. The Bishop on arrival was received by estatic members of the Church whose joy knew no bounds and were full of dance and praise to God Almighty.

The Bishop charged them with Col 3:1-2 to seeking things above and live to impress the reality of Christ on people around them. The resident worker Mr Emmanuel E. Tchalimwissa who interpretated the Bishop’s admonition was full of joy for the august mission visit.

The Bishop prayed for the growth of the Church and blessing of her members before leaving for other mission fields the Northern part of Togo.
