The emphasis in todays text is service to God. One is expected at every stage in life to keep learning and serving the Lord. This is why the Church is structured in that wise, reflecting the different stages of life – Children, Youths and Adults (Men & Women) departments, to enable every Christian or member of the Church learn and serve God at every stage of his / her life. The essence of our existence here on earth is to represent and serve God. Therefore, knowing fully that life is in stages and that there is no room for a rewind, if we miss it at any stage. It is important therefore to pay attention to the resolution of our Lord Jesus Christ in John 9:4 “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work”. \nBrethren, there is need to abstain from doing what God asked us not to do, but it is more important that we engage ourselves with the things he asked us to do. Otherwise it will amount to being at ease in Zion which attracts the wrath of God (Amos 6:1). God has specific assignments for us individually and corporately on daily basis.
