Easter: A Celebration of Victory, Freedom, and Reconciliation in Christ

Hallelujah, Christ is risen, He is risen indeed, glory to God.

This is Easter, this is the most celebrated festival of the Christian year.
There is no question about that. The empty tomb is the evidence and the fact that he appeared to disciples to show that he rose from the dead. By that victory over death, Jesus gave us victory — victory over sin, victory over the powers of darkness, victory over death.
We can no longer fear death, we no longer fear the devil because he disarmed the principalities and powers and made a public show of death. We have victory because we have the Lord Jesus himself, who is our life forevermore.

Today, this Easter, he has risen — risen to liberate us so that we will no longer be slaves to sin. He has risen to sanctify us so that we will be clean for him to use. He has risen to give us power over forces of darkness, power over situations and circumstances.

He has given us victory over the world, over sin, and over the devil. Easter gives us hope. It’s a time for you to show forgiveness. You cannot continue to be in loggerhead with your fellow brothers and sisters.

There is so much enmity in our society. Easter is a time for reconciliation because our Lord has already reconciled us to God. You have to reconcile with one another.

As husband, reconcile with your wife. As children, if you have offended your parents, reconcile with them. Jesus rules for us to be reconciled to one another.

It’s a time to build the nation. Nigeria needs to be built up. Our society, where we live, especially in Anambra State — it’s a period to build what has been broken down by ungodly people.

Young people of our time enter into idolatry, accusing themselves, deceiving themselves. It’s a time for you to regret yourself for idol worship. Easter is a time of celebration of God’s victory over powers of darkness.

We thank God for Easter. May the Lord make your Easter a time of freedom, a time of victory, a time for celebrating the love of God.
